Eskimo-3 Bright Kids Fish Oil Jelly Splats

Formulated to provide a tasty and easy-to-take way of supporting kids' brain health with omega-3 essential fatty acids. As well as the many benefits of omega-3, in particular those for developing brains, the added vitamin D provides support for immune health and healthy bones and teeth.

The Department of Health recommend children over the age of 1 should consider supplementing daily with 10mcg of Vitamin D as it is difficult to achieve the level of Vitamin D required by the body through diet alone.

Taking 1 jelly splat daily provides DHA roughly equivalent to 4 or 5 small portions of oily fish per week. Each jelly tab, or "splat" provides 270mg of DHA which supports healthy brain function.

In tests, 80% of kids were still voluntarily taking jelly splats daily after 15 weeks. As well as being made of 100% pure fish oil, jelly splats are naturally flavoured with no artificial flavourings or sweeteners, and are sugar-free too.

Omega-3 fatty acids are important for a child's health in general, but are especially important for their growing brains. Over 60% of the brain is made up of fat and the omega-3 fatty acid DHA makes up around 10-15% of this. It is the DHA in particular that is recognised as essential for normal brain function, helping to improve membrane fluidity, which means that nerve impulses, or messages, are transmitted more effectively. In human studies, DHA has been shown to improve learning, mood, memory and concentration.

Omega-3 fatty acids have been well studied, with EPA and DHA having been shown to support healthy cardiovascular function, vision, skin and joint health. Vitamin D is important for immune function and healthy bones and teeth.
